Bacon Double Stack from Wendy’s Review
Bacon Double Stack is on my plate tonight. Actually, it’s in my hands in the car because I grabbed one of these at Wendy’s after going to the gym. Nothing like treating my body well and then turning around and doing the exact opposite. I’m kidding.
Subscribe to our food YouTube channel!!You need a certain amount of calories in a day. For me at least, eating too few calories and then getting a poor night’s sleep is definitely worse than eating some cheat meal calories to hit my 3600 that I need on a day when I hit the stair master. Either way, the app didn’t work for ordering a Dave’s Double and the location I went to was cash only.
So, I ended up getting a Bacon Double Stack with the lone $5 bill in my wallet. The total was something like $4.20-ish and I got some change back. That worked for me.
Let’s take a look at the nutrition facts for the ol’ Bacon Double Stack.
Bacon Double Stack Nutrition Facts
First thing’s first, with this sandwich you’re going to have four allergens. It’s got wheat, soy, milk and egg in it. I mean, you could probably guess on the milk and wheat, but the soy and egg might catch a few people off guard.
This Bacon Double Stack packs 440 calories, which isn’t as much as some of the other ones like Dave’s Triple or the Baconator. There’s 26 total grams of fat in this and 11 grams of saturated fat. There are 1.5 grams of trans fat in here, too.
It’s kind of interesting that they don’t show the daily percentage next to the amount of nutrients. Most labels generally do that, but I guess this technically isn’t a label.
You’re going to get 65 mg of Cholesterol and 820 mg of sodium in this sandwich. That is a lot of sodium. It’s about 36% of your daily value, so if you get fries then that will be a lot.
The Bacon Double Stack has 360mg of potassium, a good amount for a cheeseburger. 26 grams of carbs, 1 gram of fiber, 6 grams of sugar, 26 grams of protein, 10% of your daily calcium, 20% of your daily iron and no vitamin D.
Ingredients
The sandwich has a lot of different ingredients in it. A very, very complex piece of food here.
Besides the burger patties, there’s the sandwich bun, applewood smoked bacon, crinkle cut pickles, ketchup, mustard, sweet onion, and an American cheese slice. All of those things have a long list of sub-ingredients but that’s too long to list everything.

You get the idea. By the way, this is $3.89 for a limited time only. I’m not sure what the actual price is off the top of my head, but I know that it’s around 4 or 5 bucks.
Anyways, let’s move on to the review itself. That’s what you’re here for isn’t it? Alright, here we go.
The Bacon Double Stack Review
First, I think it’s important to go over the whole experience at the Wendy’s I went to. The guy who I talked with on the speaker was pretty cool and very knowledgeable when it came to the various products they offered. There’s something to be said about that. I got my food pretty quickly and pulled into a parking space to eat it.
The burger itself was a little smaller than I was expecting:
Either way, it looked pretty good, so I figured I’d bite in, and good it was. This burger was pretty tasty. It tasted like what I imagine when I think of a classic cheeseburger with bacon on it. The beef tasted fresh (they promise that anyway), the bacon, bun and everything else was pretty good. I only wish it was a bit bigger, but they also have a million other menu options to choose from there and the price was right for the size/quality.
8.8/10, go try it out some time.
