Trader Joe’s Pepperoni Pizza Mac & Cheese Bowl Review
On this week’s Midnight Snack, we’re taking a look at Trader Joe’s Pepperoni Pizza Mac & Cheese Bowl. A fine offering from TJ’s that combines all the arterial-clogging goodness of pepperoni pizza with the smooth, rich taste of Canadian mac and cheese.
To be fair, there isn’t much pizza in there past the pepperoni and bit of pizza cheese. Can we get some crust up in here? Nah, it’s fine as is. Let’s take a peek at those nutrition facts:
So, yea. You’ll be loaded on fat and sodium (although not as much fat as we thought) after putting one of these from Trader Joe’s away. There’s some decent protein in there, too.
The extra virgin olive oil cancels out the ferrous sulfate.
Cooking it in the microwave for 5 – 6 minutes was easy. Since I’m still alive writing this a day later, my guess is that the microwave was 1200 watts and it was cooked enough.

This delicious bowl of pepperoni pizza and various cheeses combined with elbow macaroni noodles was relatively easy to prepare. You will need to impale the plastic film on the top of the food a few times, so make sure your Mike Myers knife is handy before putting it in the microwave.
The outside of the bowl had some serious grease condensation on it when it came out of the microwave. For that reason, the plastic bowl went on a plate very quickly before it was brought back to the table.
Flavor wasn’t bad, although it didn’t really knock things out of the park. That could also be because I reviewed it while pretty sick, so maybe it was operator error. Trader Joe’s gets it with mac and cheese, so nothing bad to say about that. All in all, I could see this getting into my freezer again.
